How to place your first spot order

Spot trading means buying or selling crypto for immediate settlement — the assets land in your wallet as soon as the order fills.

Placing the order

  1. Open Markets and select a trading pair, for example BTC/USDT.
  2. In the order panel choose Buy or Sell.
  3. Pick the order type: a market order executes immediately at the best available price; a limit order waits until the market reaches your chosen price.
  4. Enter the amount — you can type the quantity of the asset or the total you want to spend.
  5. Review the estimated total including the trading fee, then confirm.

Reading the order book

The order book shows resting buy orders (bids, green) and sell orders (asks, red). The gap between the best bid and the best ask is the spread. Market orders cross the spread; limit orders join the book and wait.

After the order fills

Filled orders appear in your trade history and the assets are immediately available — you can hold them, trade them again, move them to Earn, or withdraw them.

Start with a small order to get comfortable with the flow before committing larger amounts.
